Mindful Aging

 How would you like to age with wisdom and grace?  


Fran Zamore, ACSW, LCSW-C presents “Mindful Aging” an on-going weekly group open to adults who are interested in making the rest of their lives the best of their lives.

During this group we look at aging as a time of growth, discovery, and new meaning, rather than a time of decline.  To accomplish this, we use study, mindfulness, meditation, journaling, and contemplative listening as well as gentle movement and discussion.  We learn to be more thoughtful and deliberative about how we move forward in our lives.  We work on letting go of our psychological baggage — what stories do you carry around that are no longer of help or perhaps even serve more to confine than liberate?  How would it feel to shed those stories?  

As we strive to be our most authentic selves we work on answering such questions as:

  • Who am I at this stage of my life?
  • What is important to me now?
  • How can I cultivate generosity, gratitude, deep relationships? 
  •  What will be my legacy?
